Aloo paratha recipe
Welcome to cook with Sonali. Today I am going to make aloo paratha. It is most popular recipe in Punjab or North India. So let’s have a look at the ingredients
1 cup of all purpose flour
1 tbsp of refine oil
Salt to to taste
Water as needed
For filling :
2 large boiled mashed potatoes
Chopped coriander leaves
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp red chilli powder
1 tbsp chat masala
Salt to taste
Oil as needed
That’s all you need for the aloo paratha. So let’s get started with the dish.
We need a bowl, add all purpose flour, salt, little bit oil, mix all ingredients nicely then add water. We need to knead a soft smooth dough. Once the soft smooth smooth dough is ready cover it and leave it for about 30 minutes.
Meanwhile heat oil in kadai once the oil is hot add grated onion, salt and sauté for about 2-3 minutes until the onion turns golden brown. Once the onion turns golden brown then add cumin powder, red chilli powder, lemon juice, mashed potato, mix all those things together. And cook for about 2-3 minutes. Once it done let it cool down completely.
Now divide the dough into equal portion, add some all purpose flour on your working surface area then roll it out into a circle with rolling pin. Now add potato mixture over itand wrap it with stuffing . Again roll it.
Now place the roti on hot tawa and cook over medium flame until tiny bubbles start coming out on the surface. Once the bubbles comes up on the surface then flip it and cook for again few minutes.
Now add some oil all over the edge. Then flip it and add some oil into it too.
And cook it until turns golden brown.
Now take it out on a plate and spread some butter on it.
