Chilli chicken

Hi welcome to cook with Sonali . Today I am going to make chilli chicken. It is most delicious mouth watering Indo Chinese chicken recipe. So let’s have a look at the ingredients

Ingredients:

For the marination

250 grams bone less bite size chicken pieces
1 egg
½ cup of all purpose flour / Maida
½ cup of corn flour
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
½ tbsp pepper powder
1 tbsp of red chilli powder
1 tbsp of soy sauce
Salt to taste

For sauce we need

2 tbsp chopped ginger garlic
2 green chilli slits
2 big cube size onion
Cube size capsicum / bell pepper
½ cup of tomato ketchup
2 tbsp of green chilli sauce
2 tbsp of red chilli sauce
2 tbsp of soy sauce
2 tbsp of vinegar
1 tbsp of red chilli powder
1 tbsp of black pepper powder
Chopped spring onion
Oil for deep frying
I tbsp of butter
Salt to taste

That’s all you need for the chilli chicken. So let’s get started with the dish.

At first we need a bowl with boneless chicken pieces. Then creak the egg into the chicken and mix it well. Now I will go to add all purpose flour , corn flour, ginger garlic paste, soy sauce , red chilli powder , and black paper powder, and salt to taste. Mix all ingredients nicely along with all the ingredients. Once the chicken mixtures are ready then leave it for about 10 – 15 minutes. So all the masalas penetrate into the chicken.

Meanwhile heat oil in large skillet. Once the oil is enough hot then add chicken pieces one by one. Cook it for about few minutes until the chicken turns golden brown. Once the chicken turns golden brown then flip it and cook other sides also. When both sides are turns golden brown then I will take it out in a strainer so all excess oil drain out. Then I will keep it in pepper towel so all excess oil soaked up.

 

Now again heat oil in large skillet. Once the oil is enough hot then add chopped ginger garlic and green chilli slits. Stir it well and cook for few minutes. Now I am going to add carrot pieces, onion pieces , chopped beans , and capsicum or bell paper. Now cook it high flame for about few minutes. Vegetables are should be crunchy nor over cooked.

 

Once the vegetable are cooked then all the sauces like tomato sauce, Green chilli sauce, red chilli sauce, soya sauce, vinegar mix it well all the ingredients.

 

Now add chicken pieces then add red chilli powder , black pepper powder, and salt to taste.
When you add salt into the chicken be careful because all the sauces already has salt.

 

Mix it well and cook for about few minutes.

 

If you want dry chilli chicken you can take it out at this stage . If you want more gravy then add corn flour with water according your taste.

 

Now chilli chicken is almost ready. I will garnish some spring onion on the top of the chilli chicken.

 

You can use this chilli chicken as a appetizer or main course. And serve with hot steamed rice or fried rice.
