Egg Chop Recipe
Welcome to cook with Sonali. Today I am going to make egg chop or dimer chop. This snack is perfect for evening on rainy seasons. So let’s have a look at the ingredients.
1 large boil mash potato
2 hard boil egg
1 large onion chopped
Ginger garlic paste
Chopped Green chili
Chopped coriander leaves
½ tbsp cumin powder
½ garam masala powder
2 tbsp corn flour
Vegetable oil for frying
Salt to taste
That’s all you need for the egg chop. So let’s get started with the dish.
Heat oil in large skillet once the oil is hot add onion , ginger garlic paste, green chili, salt. Sauté for couple of minutes until the onion turns soft and golden brown. Now time to add cumin powder, garam masala powder, mix it well then add mashed potato, chopped coriander leaves.
Mix all those ingredients nicely and cook for about 5-6 minutes. Once it done then let it cool down completely.
Meanwhile crack the egg in a bowl add cornflour into it. Mix it well until no lumps are there and keep it aside.
Now time to make egg chop. Take ½ egg in your hand palm and cover the potato mixture over the egg. Make sure you shape it , in the form of a egg.
Now deep the egg chop into the egg mixture then roll it over the bread crumbs nicely. So that it covers all the sides of egg chop. I will do the exact same thing with the other pieces also.
Heat oil in large skillet once the oil is hot enough, then add egg chop one by one. Cook for medium flame until it turns golden brown.
Egg chop is ready I will take it out on a plate.
