Gobi Manchurian

Welcome to Cook with Sonali. Today I am going to make Gobi Manchurian. So let’s have a look at the ingredients

Ingredients 

  1. 1 big size Cauliflower or Gobi
  2. Chopped onion
  3. 1 tbsp of Chopped ginger and garlic
  4. 1 tbsp of ginger garlic paste
  5. 1 tbsp of Soy sauce
  6. 3-4 tbsp of Tomato sauce
  7. 2 tbsp of chilli sauce
  8. 1 tbsp of vinegar
  9. 1 tbsp of chopped green chilli
  10. 2 tbsp of cornflour
  11. 2 tbsp of all purpose flour
  12. 1 tbsp of red chilli powder
  13. 1 tbsp of black paper powder
  14. Salt to taste
  15. Oil as needed

 

That’s all you need to make Gobi Manchurian. So let’s get started with the dish.

  1. At first take cauliflower then add ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder ,and little bit salt. Mix all the ingredients nicely. And keep it aside for about 15 minutes.
  2. Now take another bowl add all purpose flour, cornflour, and little bit salt. Mix  it nicely. Add little bit water and make a paste. The paste should be moderate not too thick or not too thin. See the consistency of paste.
  3. Now I will pour the paste into the cauliflower and mix it nicely.
  4. Heat oil in Kadai. Once the oil is hot then add cauliflower pieces one by one. Cook it in medium flame until it turns light golden brown. Once it turns light golden then  drain the excess oil and take it out on papertowel. So all excess oil is soaked up.
  5. Now heat oil in Kadai, once the oil is hot then add chopped ginger and garlic, sauté for couple of minutes. Now add chopped onion and green chilli. Now add chopped bell pepper and little bit salt, mix it well.
  6. Cook it in high flame for about few minutes. Now time to add tomato sauce, chilli sauce, soy sauce, vinegars and little bit water. Mix it nicely, cook for about few minutes.
  7. Meanwhile in a bowl add 2 tbsp of cornflour and water. Mix it nicely until no lumps are there. Now pour the mixture into the sauce. Mix it well. Now add cauliflower.
  8. Mix it well. Lastly add little bit salt, black pepper powder. Mix it well and cook for about 2-3 minutes.
  9. Now I will garnish some spring onion.
  10. See Gobi Manchurian is ready. Now I will take it out in a bowl.
