Hi welcome to cook with Sonali. Today I am going to make prawn Biryani . It is tasty and delicious recipe. So let’s have a look at the ingredients.
1 cup of basmati rice
1 tbsp of ginger garlic paste
1 tbsp of coriander powder
1 tbsp of cumin powder
3tbsps of biryani masala
1 tbsp of turmeric powder
4 tbsps of yogurt
Chopped coriander leaves
Salt to taste
One cup of milk
Cinnamon, cloves, cardamom
1 tbsp of ghee / butter
That’s all you need for the prawn biryani . So let’s get started with the dish.
Boil water in a bowl add little bit oil, salt , cumin seeds, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom then add soaked basmati rice which Ialready soaked it for about 30 minute until 80 percent done. Once the rice is 80 percent cooked then I will strain it.
Meanwhile I will marinate the prawn pieces. For the marination we need salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, ginger garlic paste, yogurt. Mix all those ingredients with your hand then leave it for about 30 minutes.
Heat oil in fry pan once the oil is enough hot then add bay leaves , cinnamon, cloves, cardamom stir it well then add slice onion little bit salt , turmeric powder and cook for about few minutes until the onion turns golden brown. Once the onion turns golden brown then I will take it out some portion of onion for the garnishing.
Now I will add marinated prawn into it. Stir it well then add ginger garlic paste biryani masala . Cook it medium flame for about 3-4 minutes. Once the masalas are cooked then add cooked basmati into it . Add fried onion, chopped coriander leaves, soaked saffron, 1 cup of milk, ghee or butter on the top of the rice.
Cover it and cook it low flame for about 8- 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes open the lid mix it well then take out in a bowl.
See delicious prawn biryani is ready .
