Rajma masala curry recipe
Hi welcome to Cook with Sonali. Today I am going to make rajma masala curry . It is easy delicious Punjabi recipe. So let’s have a look at the ingredients .
1 cup of soak rajma
1 large onion paste
1 cup of tomato purée
2 tbsp of ginger garlic paste
1 tbsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp of red chilli powder
1 tbsp coriander powder
1 tbsp cumin powder
1 tbsp garam masala
1 pinch of asafoetida or hing
½ tbsp jeera
2 tbsp oil
Chopped coriander leaves
Salt to taste
That’s all you need for the rajma masala curry. So let’s get started with the dish
Boil water in a pressure cooker then add soaked rajma which I already soaked it for about 5-6 hours. Then add baking soda and salt and let it cook for 8- 10 whistle.Once the whistles are complete then turn off the gas flame and let it cool down completely.
Meanwhile heat oil in kadai once the oil is enough hot then add cumin seeds 1 pinch of hing. Stir it well .
Now I will add onion paste , ginger garlic paste, tomato purée , turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, salt . Keep stirring occasionally and cook masala until the oil comes up on top of the masala.
Once the oil comes up on the surface then I will add cooked rajma into it. Stir it well then add garam masala and mix it nicely .
Cover with lid and cook it low flame for about 8-10 minutes. After 10 minutes open the lid add chopped coriander leaves mix it nicely .
Rajma is almost ready . Lastly I will add butter and green chillies.
