Szechuan chicken recipe

Today I am going to make Szechuan chicken . It it plain simple Indo Chinese delicious chicken recipe. The cooking method look like a chilli chicken but ingredients are different. So let’s have look at the ingredients

For the the marination we need

  1. Bite size boneless chicken pieces
  2. I egg
  3. 2 tbsp all purpose flour
  4. 2 tbsp corn flour
  5. 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  6. Salt to taste

For the sauce we need

  1. 2 tbsp of chopped ginger garlic
  2. Chopped onion
  3. Cube size capsicum
  4. Spring onion
  5. 4 tbsp of Szechuan sauce
  6. 1 tbsp chili garlic sauce
  7. Soya sauce
  8. 1 tbsp chili vinegar
  9. Chicken stock
  10. Salt to taste
  11. 1 tbsp sugar
  12. Oil as needed

That’s all you need to make Szechuan chicken . So let’s get started with the dish.

  1. I am using this Szechuan sauce which is available on supermarket . You can use homemade Szechuan sauce also.
  2. At first we need a bowl with boneless chicken pieces. Then crack the egg into itmix it well.
  3. Now add all purpose flour, corn flour, ginger garlic paste , and salt to taste.
  4. Mix it nicely along with all the ingredients. Once the mixture is complete then leave it for about 15 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile heat oil in large skillet. Once the oil is enough hot then add chicken pieces one by one.
  6. Cook it high flame for about few minutes until the chicken turns light golden brown.
  7. Once the chicken turns light golden brown then flip it and cook it again few minutes.
  8. When both sides are turns golden brown then I will take it out on pepper towel so all excess oil soaked up.
  9. Again heat oil in large skillet. Once the oil is enough hot then add chopped ginger and garlic.
  10. Stir it well.
  11. Now add onion and capsicum. Mix it well and cook it high flame for about few minutes.
  12. Now I will go to add Szechuan sauce , wine vinegar , and little bit salt. Stir it well then add chicken pieces.
  13. Mix it well. Now add chicken stock and cook for about 2-3 minutes.
  14. Once it done then add some spring onion Into it. Szechuan chicken is ready.
  15. Now I will take it out on a plate.
